method :   as lapidars are accumulated:

1.  sort by town cancel.   CITIES are more common, than rural POs.
2. sort by type, within a batch of town/city.
3. refer to lapidar reference , and note year/date interval
4. now research plates by year ...

due to volume mails,  rural POs have wider year intervals.
